When salaried medical officers join AMA Queensland, they also become members of the Australian Salaried Medical Officers' Federation Queensland (ASMOFQ) at no extra cost.

ASMOFQ is AMA Queensland's industrial relations partner and is a doctor's union – run by doctors, for doctors. ASMOFQ supports its members by representing doctors in individual workplace matters and disputes, advocating on health and safety issues, and collectively negotiating the employment contracts of thousands of Queensland doctors through certified enterprise agreements.

With major changes continually occurring throughout Queensland, it is important to have ASMOFQ representing your interests, rights at work and your entitlements.

AMA Queensland’s Refer a Member campaign offers an outstanding financial incentive for existing members to introduce new doctors to join AMA Queensland. If you refer a colleague who successfully joins AMA Queensland, you will receive 25 per cent off your next year's membership.
