ASMOFQ

The Australian Salaried Medical Officers Federation Queensland (ASMOFQ) is our union partner. Your AMA Queensland membership includes complimentary member to the Doctors’ Union, although you can opt out of ASMOFQ.  

ASMOFQ negotiates your industrial agreement and supports you with workplace issues, including: 

  • your agreement, award, policies/procedures, directives and any other legislation applicable to your employment  
  • remuneration and working conditions for salaried doctors 
  • employment rights and entitlements 
  • issues relating to your employment on an individual or collective level 
  • workplace conflicts and grievances 
  • performance related matters  
  • payroll problems

Doctor in training

AMA Queensland Committee of Doctors in Training (CDT) and its special interest groups advocate collectively on the critical issues affecting Queensland’s junior doctors. To ensure our future leaders have a say on workplace issues, we created the Resident Hospital Health Check survey. The survey evaluates the how well training hospitals support our doctor in training. 

Committee of Consultant Specialists 

AMA Queensland's Committee of Consultant Specialists (CCS) formulates policy and drives medico-political change through the provision of advice to the AMA Queensland Council and report on emerging issues in the area of consultant specialists.
